Revisiting the world through my own lens

Every now and then, I look at my digital photo archivesĀ of wonderful places I’ve visited abroad, and I long once again to revisit these places – to soak up the feels, eat the food, and be a part of the culture. I tell myself that I will surely revisit those places if I get the chance to.

I have said before that I am more inclined to see new places (as opposed to revisiting places I’ve been to before) while I can, since time and money are limited. Yet, I am starting to miss the places I’ve been to, and so I think I’m starting to understand one of the reasons people like to revisit holiday destinations. I get the strongest urges when I look at my old photographs.

Because your own photos capture moments according to how you see them, they bring with them specific and personal memories associated with the place. Looking at said photos remind you of that particular moment the photos was snapped – something that no one else can experience but you.

Free Stuff: iPhone 6 Wallpapers

I’ve taken to creating my own iPhone 6 wallpapers (although I have not upgraded my phone. Soon, I hope). Thought I’d share some of them with you as well. These pictures were taken during our own travels. It’s always fun to dig up and browse through old photographs because it’s almost like traveling back in time to those days.

They are free for download for personal use but not for commercial use. And if you do share them on your own pages, it would be nice to get a mention. Thank you and enjoy! (:

Places I Would Love to Revisit

Just finished updating my Travelogue page, where I finally got down to listing the places I’ve been to and would love to go to in the future. My travel bucket list.

I suppose it’ll continue to grow and change for as long as I haven’t, you know, kicked the bucket. But there are some places on the list, that I’ve already crossed out, that I miss so much that I would love to go back to. Seems like such an injustice to just cross them off the list and declare them ‘been there done that’.

So here’s a new list just for these special places – places I love so much, I’d definitely visit again:

  • Barcelona, Spain (the city’s so vibrant and happy and free. and the tapas are awesome)
  • Japan (I was almost too young to remember when went there. but Japan’s always so clever in their product design and packaging, I have to go bask myself in that environment. I also want to stuff myself silly with their fresh sashimi)
  • London, England (would love to visit the markets again. no, more markets this time. watch a few more musicals too)
  • New York, USA (for the holiday season this time)
  • San Francisco, USA (there’s just something about this place…)
  • South Korea (love the cafe culture there, just hopping from one unique cafe to another. and of course to stock up on the cheap facial products)
  • Switzerland (hands down the most surreally beautiful place I’ve been to so far)
